This work includes a poem composed by the esteemed Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) summarizing the most important principles and rules in the science of Usul al-Fiqh. The poem consists of 103 eloquent and concise lines. Although the Shaykh was unable to complete all the intended sections due to his many scholarly engagements, he explained the poem three times: first in 1415 AH during recorded lessons at his mosque in ʿUnayzah; again in 1419 AH via phone to Masjid Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in Riyadh; and a third time in a brief summary. The first explanation, being the most comprehensive, was adopted as the base, with additional notes from the other two versions included.
تضم هذه الرسالة منظومة من تأليف فضيلة الشيخ العلامة رحمه الله في أصول الفقه، جمع فيها أهم القواعد والضوابط بأسلوب نَظمي بليغ يتكون من (103) أبيات. لم يُكمل الشيخ جميع الأبواب بسبب انشغالاته العلمية المتعددة، لكنه شرحها ثلاث مرات: الأولى عام 1415هـ ضمن دروسه المسجلة في جامع عنيزة، والثانية عام 1419هـ عبر الهاتف إلى جامع شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية بالرياض، والثالثة شرح مختصر. وقد اعتُمد الشرح الأول أساسًا، وأُلحقت به فوائد الشرحين الآخرين
